Professional Image Filters & Effects
This tool gives you a professional-grade image effect engine powered by ImageMagick — the same library used by major photo platforms. Each effect is built as a multi-layer preset combining brightness, contrast, RGB channel grading, shadow/highlight tinting, vignette, film grain, sharpening, and clarity adjustments.
Unlike simple CSS filters or Instagram-style sliders, our engine applies true colour science — including gamma correction, shadow/highlight split toning, and per-channel colour grading — to produce cinematic results that hold up at full print resolution.
About Our 10 Master Effects
Hollywood Teal & Orange — The most iconic blockbuster look. Warm skin tones (orange/red shift in highlights) against cool teal-shifted shadows, exactly as used in major film productions.
Netflix Dark — Deep crushed blacks with high contrast and desaturated mids. Gives footage the moody streaming series look.
Golden Hour — Warm amber/gold colour cast mimicking the soft glow of late afternoon sun, with lifted shadows and soft clarity.
Ocean Blue — Cool aqua tones with boosted blue/cyan channels and lifted blacks for that coastal photography aesthetic.
Moody Dark — Heavily desaturated with strong vignette and grain. Perfect for dark, atmospheric editorial work.
Vibrant Nature — Maximum saturation punch on greens and blues for landscape and nature photography.
Warm Vintage — Faded film look with lifted blacks, reduced contrast, warm colour cast and heavy grain.
Cold Nordic — Icy Scandinavian minimalism — desaturated with blue-shifted shadows and cool, clinical highlights.
Soft Romantic — Dreamy pastel warmth with reduced contrast and a subtle blur for portrait and wedding photography.
High Contrast Action — Punchy high contrast with deep blacks, crisp sharpening and clarity boost for sports and action shots.
Frequently Asked Questions
Photos are sent to our server for processing using ImageMagick — this ensures the highest quality colour science that can't be replicated in the browser. Preview processing uses a downscaled 800px version for speed. When you click Download, the full-resolution original is processed and streamed directly to you. We automatically delete your files from our server within 1 hour.
The Before/After slider lets you drag a divider across the image to compare the original (left) with the processed version (right) in real-time. This helps you gauge exactly how much the effect changes your photo before committing to a download.
The Intensity slider (0–100%) scales all parameters of the selected preset proportionally. At 50%, every adjustment — brightness, contrast, colour shifts, vignette, grain — is applied at half strength. This lets you use subtle, realistic grading rather than being locked to the full preset strength.
You can upload JPEG, PNG, and WebP images up to 20MB. You can download in JPEG (best for photos, smallest file), PNG (lossless, best for images with text or transparency), or WebP (modern format, excellent quality-to-size ratio). For most photographs, JPEG at 92% quality is the recommended choice.
The preset system is fully JSON-driven. To add a new effect, simply create a new .json file in the /effects/ directory following the preset format (brightness, contrast, saturation, gamma, red/green/blue shift, shadow/highlight tint, vignette, grain, blur, sharpen, clarity). No code changes needed — the engine automatically discovers and loads new preset files.
